Walk to the ‘Big Cedar’ this weekend at Meadowbrook Farm

History-minded hikers and families can find a wonder of the Valley: Meadowbrook Farm’s 500-year-old ‘Big Cedar.’

The free guided hike is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 12, at the farm, located between North Bend and Snoqualmie.This short hike is ideal for families with children. See this living, nine-foot-wide old growth forest giant. Learn about the many ways Native Americans and early pioneers used cedar in their everyday lives.

Meet at the Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center, 1711 Boalch Avenue between Snoqualmie and North Bend. Heading from Snoqualmie toward North Bend on Railroad Ave SE (SR 202), turn left onto Meadowbrook Way SE and then right onto SE Park Street. Drive past Snoqualmie Elementary School and Centennial Fields. Meadowbrook Farm will be on the right.
