The city of Snoqualmie sets aside National Volunteer Week each year to thank and honor the people who donate their time and energy and recognize the vital contribution that volunteers make.
In a letter, Mayor Matt Larson invited a group of local volunteers and their families to attend a special dinner event on the Northwest Railway Museum train, 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 25.
Volunteerism enables people to be engaged in local affairs, helps to build individual skills and capacities, develops community leadership, and promotes community spirit, says the city.
