Arrests made in Snoqualmie graffiti cases

Published 3:01 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2012

During the last year, the city parks in Snoqualmie have been plagued by graffiti being painted by vandals in bathrooms, on bridges, signs and other parts of the city.

On Tuesday, March 20, police were called to the latest graffiti event, at Community Park, which resulted in $1,500 worth of damage to the men’s public bathroom.

Following a report by a vigilant citizen and an investigation by Snoqualmie police officers, several juvenile suspects have been identified.

The investigation is continuing as more suspects are being brought in for questioning.

Officers are working with suspects and parents to determine restitution amounts, with possible charges of malicious mischief in the second degree filed with the King County Juvenile Prosecutors Office.
