Snoqualmie City Hall to go dark Saturday for Earth Hour

All the light go out at Snoqualmie City Hall for Earth Hour, staring at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31.

For four years, the city has taken part in Earth Hour, a global event created by the by the World Wildlife Fund that builds awareness of climate change and sustainability.

Individuals, businesses and more than 5,200 cities and towns in 135 countries and territories worldwide switched off their lights for Earth Hour 2011, making it the largest climate campaign ever.

In the U.S., cities and landmarks from Key Arena to the Empire State Building will stand in darkness as symbols of hope. You can participate in the world’s largest single campaign for the planet. Register at www.earthhour.org.
