Mammogram visit, drawing at senior center

Published 1:49 pm Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Wellness starts from the inside, and there is no better time than the present to make your breast health a priority.

The Swedish mobile mammography coach is coming to the Mount Si Senior Center on Wednesday, March 28.

All women who come into the center and get their annual mammogram performed on the coach will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card to Safeway grocery store.  If you bring a friend to get a mammogram, your chances are doubled.

All women 40 and older can use the service. Swedish accepts most forms of insurance including Medicare and Medicaid. Of you feel you are in need of mammography services and are not yet 40 years of age, please check with your doctor or call the number below.

If you are not a senior and don’t have insurance you can still get a mammogram.  The BCCHP (Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program) program will provide funding to cover a health exam and mammogram for qualifying women age 40-64. For more information on this service or to sign up for an appointment, please call Brittany at 206-727-6261.
