Volunteers needed for Snoqualmie Three Forks planting

The Mountains to Sound Greenway seeks volunteers to restore the forest habitat at the Three Forks Natural Area on Saturday, November 5.

The planting event is part of a campaign to plant over 20,000 native trees and shrubs in natural areas in the Greenway.  Volunteers will along Meadowbrook slough in the City of Snoqualmie’s off-leash dog park to continue the restoration of this popular natural area.

The 418-acre Three Forks Natural Area is located at the confluence of the three forks of the Snoqualmie River, the largest river system in King County. The Natural Area includes over five miles of riverfront with juvenile trout habitat, and serves as a sanctuary and corridor for a broad range of wildlife including black bear, elk, cougar, eagle, deer, and river otter.
