Trick-or-Treaters make their way through downtown Snoqualmie

Historic downtown Snoqualmie was lined with orange balloons on Friday, Oct. 30 as trick-or-treaters hopped from one storefront to the next for the fourth annual Treat Harvest.

As princesses, dragons, ladybugs and even a baby dressed as a loaf of Wonder Bread collected treats, parents gave a few ideas on how they would keep their children safe for Halloween.

Many families took advantage of the daylight trick-or-treating in downtown Snoqualmie. When it got dark, parents planned to make sure children carried lights and were visible to others.

“We’ll go trick-or-treating together, and we have light sticks that they wear,” parent Melanie Coombes said.

Staying close to home, many parents also had plans to go trick-or-treating with neighbors in a group in their own neighborhoods.

“We’re holding hands when we cross the street, and we are saying our please and thank you’s,” said Hailey O’Reilly, a trick-or-treater parent.
