Englund heading to districts

The Wildcats’ Kevin Englund tied for second place at Snohomish Golf Course last week in the Kingco 3A league tournament. Englund shot a 74, two strokes off the lead of 72 shot by Mercer Island’s David Kelly.

Teammate Jon Larson was named to the All-Kingco first team for the season.

‘Cats fall to Sammamish

Despite a set win by Bruce Louviere, the Mount Si varsity tennis team fell to Sammamish last week 8-1. Louviere defeated Richie Minice in his second set 6-4.

Interlake defeats Mount Si

The Mount Si boys’ varsity tennis team dropped a match to Interlake last week 9-0. Bryce Wilson had the best day at singles play losing a close game 6-7 and 3-6. In doubles action, the team of Tim Coleman and Dan Collard nearly pulled off a win, losing close 7-5 and 4-1.

JV wins matches

The Mount Si JV boys’ tennis team wrapped up its season last week against Interlake. In singles play, Ryan Schwab won his match 8-1. In doubles play, the teams of Kevin Sandin/Derek Aldrich won 8-4 and Mike Cruse/Mike Posey won 8-5. Isaac Farrar/Bill Salisbury won their match 8-0.
