Students at Mount Si High School celebrated “Reading Rocks” as part
of Teen Read Week last week.
The activities for the week included a verbal book review during
the morning bulletins, trivia questions, prizes, and Reading Rocks
bookmarks and tattoos. There was also a
“Poetry Coffeehouse” at Isadora’s in Snoqualmie where teens were
invited to read their own poetry or perform an original song.
The Mount Si High library assistants also got really creative and
put together several book displays featuring different genres.
The displays were constructed with books and handmade props.
They even included a review for each book.
In all, the library assistants put together about a dozen displays
about mystery, sports, horror and more.
