Hole-in-one

North Bend’s Troy Parsons recently made a hole-in-one at Mount Si Golf Course. Parsons made the shot on the fourth hole at a distance of 126 yards using an eight iron. It was his first.


Hole-in-one

Bryan Louviere of North Bend sunk a hole-in-one on the 17th hole of Mount Si Golf Course recently. The shot was made at a distance of 184 yards.


Rowing applications being accepted

Sammamish Rowing Association in Redmond currently is accepting applications for fall rowing classes for all ages. Experience the fun, fitness, camaraderie and teamwork of rowing. No experience is required. All levels and abilities are welcome. The fall session begins the first week of September.

Fastpitch players wanted

The Valley Fever Fastpitch Softball Club will be hosting open tryouts for the 2005 season on Sept. 11-12 in Snoqualmie.

The tryouts schedule is as follows:

10-U – Mount Si High School fields – Sept. 11, 3-6 p.m.

12-U – Centennial Park – Sept. 12, 12-3 p.m.

14-U – Centennial Fields – Sept. 12, 3-6 p.m.

(Centennial Fields are located next to Snoqualmie Elementary School)

Any girl ages 9-14 who has a desire to play softball and develop their skills is encouraged to attend the tryouts.

The Valley Fever Fast-Pitch Softball Club was established to provide an Amateur Softball Association (ASA) tournament program similar to those in the surrounding areas but to have it geographically located in the Snoqualmie Valley. The Valley Fever is an advanced development program intended to complement the current Little League opportunities in the greater Snoqualmie Valley, but is open to all girls with a desire to play at a competitive level.
