Johnson gets three years for robbery

SEATTLE _ A Fall City man was recently sentenced to more than

three years in prison for the armed robbery of the Sno-Falls Credit Union in

November, 1999.

Robert Anthony Johnson, 20, was ordered to serve 41 months in

prison by United States District Judge Thomas Zilly. According to court

records, on Nov. 22, Johnson robbed the bank of $2,945.

Johnson had previously pleaded guilty to robbing the credit

union, 4219 Preston-Fall City Road, Fall City. Federal prosecutors said

Johnson entered the credit union about 9:40 a.m., wearing an open-faced, black

ski mask and a black “DARE” sweatshirt. He then approached a teller, threw

a plastic, grocery-store-type sack on the counter and said, “This is a robbery.”

Prosecutors also said Johnson pointed a stainless steel

automatic handgun at the teller. After getting the money, he fled the credit union

on foot.

In addition to the time in prison, Zilly ordered Johnson to pay

$2,945 in restitution and serve a five-year parole term.
