Hospital plans move without a levy lid lift

The plan has been slightly modified, but the goal is still the same for King County Hospital District No. 4 – to move forward with a new hospital.
Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Administrator Rodger McCollum said the district will pursue a new hospital at Snoqualmie Parkway and Interstate 90 without asking for more funds from taxpayers. A 30 cent lid lift, which would have raised about $1.2 million per year for a new hospital, was defeated at the polls in August, with 68.9 percent of voters weighing in against the proposition.
However, the hospital’s latest projections mean that the $70 million new hospital campus doesn’t need taxpayer dollars to be built.
