FALL CITY — A 67-year-old Fall City man was found dead
in the alley behind the Model Garage on Monday, Jan. 3.
Police are handling the case as an unexplained death, said
King County sheriff spokesman John Urquhart, at least until an
autopsy can be done on the body. However, police said there weren’t
any obvious signs of foul play. They declined to release the name of
the man.
Employees from the Model Garage returned to work on
Monday to face the “freaky” and grim scene in their own backyard.
“It was pretty shocking,” said owner Dennis Musga. “You
have to hold some type of composure, but it was pretty freaky.”
Musga said that a nearby resident found the body at 4 a.m.
on Monday morning and called police. There was a lot of blood
on the victim’s face, but Musga said it was difficult to
determine whether the injuries were serious. Police declined to offer any
details on the condition of the body.
The police taped off the alley behind the shop at 33805
S.E. Redmond-Fall City Road for about eight hours, but the
investigation didn’t hamper Model Garage’s or surrounding
businesses’ operations.
Results from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office
were released after the Valley Record went to press.
