The Mount Si Wildcats boys basketball team gave it their best efforts last Tuesday night, but fell to a tough O’Dea team in overtime.

Tanner Riley scored 25 points to lead the Wildcats, but it was not enough in the end as Mount Si was defeated 60-57 by the Irish at O’Dea High School in Seattle. The Wildcats trailed for much of the game, but their defense stood tall when it counted, holding the very good Irish team from the Metro League to just four points in the fourth quarter to help force the overtime session.

With last Friday’s flood postponement, the Wildcats head into a pretty busy week. This Wednesday, Jan. 14 they play Lakeside in a makeup game at Lakeside School in Seattle at 7:30, before returning home this Friday, Jan. 16 to play the Bellevue Wolverines in what looks to be a battle between potentially the two best teams in Kingco 3A. Game time is 8:05 p.m.
