Register for girls basketball camp

The Mount Si Girls Basketball Summer Camp is 6 to 8:30 p.m., July 6 to 9, at the Mount Si gym. Cost is $65 by June 30, or $75 at the door. Scholarships are available.

The camp helps teach fundamentals of the game with instruction from coaches and players. Participants learn shooting techniques, take part in daily games and competitions, receive daily awards and get a camp T-shirt. No previous basketball experience is required. North Bend honors Mount Si golfers

The North Bend City Council gave a special honor to the state champion Mount Si High School boys golf team at its Tuesday, June 16, meeting.

The day was declared Mount Si High School boys golf day in North Bend.

“The residents of North Bend have special admiration for our youth,” the council’s proclmation stated.
