Brevick helps rowers take silver

The Sammamish Rowing Association won the gold medal in junior women’s quadruple sculls and the silver in the junior women’s double sculls recently at the USRowing National Youth Invitational Championships on Harsha Lake in Cincinnati, Ohio. The junior national championships included over 1,100 rowers from 100 high schools and clubs from across the nation. Among the rowers on the junior women’s quadruple sculls crew was Mount Si High School senior Amy Brevick. Brevick sat second seat.


Boys summer hoops underway

The Mount Si Wildcats summer boys basketball team has gotten off to a good start. Last Thursday night at the Seattle University Summer League, the Wildcats posted a big 23-point win over Ballard of Kingco 4A, 63-40. That win was Mount Si’s fourth straight summer league win after an opening game loss to Wesco 4A Cascade of Everett in the AND1 tournament.

Mount Si continues summer league play this week at Seattle University, with contests against Metro 3A Seattle Prep and former Seamount rival Mount Rainier.
