Hole-in-one at Mount Si


Don Thompson of Walnut, Calif., recorded his second hole in one,


this time on hole eleven at the Mount Si Golf Course. He used a 5-wood on


the 206-yard hole.



Sandy Koufax tryouts


TheValley Baseball Association is looking for 2001 league players,


age 14-year-olds, who are interested in playing Sandy Koufax baseball.

Childs places in 4000 meter


Katie Childs, of Snoqualmie, placed 41st in the 400 meter


recently, running for Northwest Nazarene University of Idaho. Childs recorded


a time of 17:31. NNU placed third with 58 points behind Whitworth


and George Fox University.



HUB basketball meeting


HUB basketball, an affiliate of Friends of Youth, will hold a


meeting for parents and/or players at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct 5, in the Mount Si


High School library. The meeting will focus on the different levels and


options that the HUB basketball program offers to the youth in the Valley.


Directors for recreational leagues (boys, girls), and the Travel League


(boys, girls), will be on hand to answer questions regarding each of the leagues


and to provide information on tryout and season dates, costs, registration


fees and the team selection process. For further information please contact
