her strong record of finishes, coming across the line with a 19:28 and

second place to Skyline’s Mackenzie Crosby. Teammate Yingxuan

Law placed sixth with a time of 20:30.

Thursday night brings the last regularly scheduled meet of

the KingCo 3A season. Mount Si will travel to Cedarcrest to face

“Bruce McDowell Memorial Hill,” and

determine who gets bragging _ or running _ rights for the Snoqualmie Valley.

The first runners should step out about 4:30 p.m.

Sammamish and Liberty dominated in the lady’s side of the

event, despite strong runs by Mount Si’s Ashley Wiegardt and Katie

Childs. Sammamish’s Susie Bunday won the race with a time of 21.38.5,

followed by Wiegardt and Childs with times of 22:06.7 and 22:14.6 respectively.

The Wildcat lineup was completed by Amy Hyatt, 24:20.1 for eleventh place,

and Sarah Coffey, 24:32. 8 for thirteenth.

Note: In last week’s summary of the Mount Si, Newport and

Mercer Island meet, the Valley Record inadvertently left out Payton

Thompson’s name. Thompson finished second with a time of 17:10 for the

three-mile course. Our congratulations to him, and apologies for the oversight.
