`Cats golfers split

White River had a long bus ride home Wednesday, Sept. 29, after

being listed as the eighth victim of the mighty Wildcat golf team.

Mount Si dominated with a 191-204 victory. Eric Larson claimed

medalist honors, shooting a 1-over par score of 37. Sean Fallows and

Sean Armstrong both shot 38, David LaBell and Derek Lee hit the clubhouse

with a 39 each, and Aaron Svarthumle rounded out the field with a 40.

In JV action, Brett Fallows, Jay-Michael Johnson and

Adam Vandebrake all shot 40. Matt Poth recorded a 41.

On Thursday the Wildcat golf team traveled to Overlake Country Club

to take on Bellevue, but the home course advantage gave the win to the

Wolverines by a final score of 198-205. Armstrong walked away with

medalist honors, shooting a 1-over par 36. Larson followed with a 38, Sean

Fallows with a 42, Svarthumle with a 44, and Lee finished with a 45.

Going into Monday afternoon’s home match with Skyline, Mount

Si remained in first place in KingCo 3A, tied with Mercer Island at 7-1.

Cedarcrest downs Totems

The Red Wolves golf squad took their second match of the season

on Thursday, Sept. 30, downing visiting Sammamish by a score of 195 to 216.

Cedarcrest’s Marc Medley came away with medalist honors,

shooting a 3-under par 34 on the Carnation Golf Course. He was followed by

Sean Beveridge and Jason Kamada, both with 37; Robin Spayde, 42; and

Pat Beveridge, 45.

Monday afternoon, Oct. 4, the Red Wolves linksters hosted their

counterparts from Newport High School. Next on the schedule is the KingCo

medalist tournament, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Snohomish Golf Course

at 8 a.m.
