North Bend resident Amari Mason recently competed in the 2025 USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships held July 21-27 in Savannah, Georgia. He competed in the 11-12 boys division in the shot put and discus events and finished 8th place in both events. As a top eight finisher, he secured “All-American” status as one of the top eight in the country in his respective event. Amari will be a 6th-grader next year at Twin Falls Middle School. He attended elementary school last year at Snoqualmie Elementary School, where he was in the STREAM program for “highly capable” students.
