Sarah McDonald, an outside hitter and a core player for the Mount Si volleyball team in the last few years, has made a written commitment to play for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Graduating this spring, she has a full-ride scholarship to play for the team.

McDonald visited Charlotte in February, following her playing with the Kent Juniors Volleyball Club in Las Vegas. The senior told the Record that she fell in love with the school.

Coaching staff made her feel welcome.

“It’s beautiful, a brand new school,” she said. “It made me feel like home.”

“We are very proud of Sarah and excited about this bright future she has ahead of her,” Mount Si head coach Bonnie Foote said.
