More postseason honors for Hill

SNOQUALMIE - The volleyball season may be long over now, but that is not stopping one Mount Si volleyball star from picking up more postseason awards.

SNOQUALMIE – The volleyball season may be long over now, but that is not stopping one Mount Si volleyball star from picking up more postseason awards.

Marissa Hill was honored by all three Seattle-area daily newspapers. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer named her to their all-star team and the Seattle Times named her to the all-state second team of the best players statewide at the high school level. The King County Journal has also selected Hill to their All-Eastside team.

Hill scored 312 kills this season, an average of just over than four a game. She added 350 digs, an average of 3.3 a game, and also aced 54 serves for a Wildcat team that made great strides this season despite injuries and inexperience. In addition, Hill was recently named the Kingco 3A Conference Most Valuable Player for her fine efforts on the floor this season.

The Western Washington-bound senior has not stopped playing, either. She is currently playing for the KJ Volleyball U-18 club based out of Kent, which Mount Si coach Bonnie Foote is associated with.
