Local racer does well

Jarred Burklund, a fourth-grader at North Bend Elementary School, placed sixth at the Cyclecross Nationals recently in Portland, Ore. He also finished fifth for the season in the E.C.C. series racing in the junior-D's 12 and under category. It was his first year racing and he is a member of the A.S.C. junior development team sponsored by the Oh Boy Oberto Outdoors Cycling Team.
