Hawks defeat Eagles

The Chief Kanim Middle School Hawks eighth-grade boys varsity basketball team traveled to Snoqualmie Middle School last week where they defeated the Eagles 35-15. The Hawks used an aggressive defense to put the clamps on the Eagles. Tyson Riley led the effort offensively with 10 points, while Joey Evans dropped in eight points. Chad Billings had two points, Spencer MacEwan five points, Zach Brevick four points, Brian Johnson two points, Alex Hiebert had two steals, Mike Nelson had four points, Josh Snow had a steal and Zach Lindor had two points.

SMS downs Hawks

The Chief Kanim Middle School Hawks seventh-grade varsity basketball team fell to Snoqualmie Middle School last wee, 46-30. The Hawks got off to a slow start and just couldn’t recover from the Eagle buzz-saw. The Hawks are eager to get back on the court and improve their play. Tannery Riley had 12 points and teammate Lucas Zupan had 13 points and 13 rebounds. Josh Murphy had two rebounds, Eric Murphy had three points, Gehrig Uhles had two points, Aaron Moetueli had four rebounds, Brian Guse had a steal and Rosco Castagno had a steal.
