The Chief Kanim Middle School seventh grade football team defeated the Twin Falls Ravens, 34-7, on Thursday, Oct. 29. The win finished Chief Kanim’s season with a perfect record of 6-0.

The Hawks scored early and efficiently on their first four possessions of the game.

Curtis Handy had touchdown runs of eight yards, 55 yards, and 70 yards. Cameron McLain and Patrick Pecora each carried the ball seven times for 50 yards. Bjorn Stai hit Royce Schwartzenberger for three extra point conversions. Handy also recovered a muffed punt in the end zone for a touchdown. The prettiest play of the game came when Justin Clock caught a 45-yard touchdown pass from Handy.

Coaches Chris Blake and Paul Dobberfuhl said they were proud of the young squad’s effort all year long.
