Champion cheerleaders

The Junior Wildcats Cheer program, which is part of the Junior Wildcats Football program, has been busy. The cheer program is for girls ages 7 to 14 and the competitive group this year was for ages 10-13, which includes the sophomore and JV squads. The competitive squad participated in two competitions; one on Nov. 8 in Lake Stevens where they placed third, and one on Nov. 15 in Stanwood where they placed first despite being one of the younger squads in the division that included seven other squads. The girls performed a cheer that included stunts and two dance routines. Pictured are, back row, left to right, Ashley Arviso, Melissa Costa, Trisha Hodges and Elizabeth McCann.
