Mount Si High School’s boys soccer team has a 4-1-0 record heading into their next game, this Friday, March 25, at home against Newport.

The Wildcats scored a big win last Friday, also at home, when they hosted Lewis & Clark High School.

Scoring goals on the night were Reid Howland with two and one each for Ethan Duvall and Kyle Hunter. Drew Harris added three assists to his stat sheet and Oliver Eriksen, one.

On the previous day, Mount Si took its first loss in the young season, with a 1-0 shutout at Interlake High School.

The biggest game of the past week, though, was also a shutout, this time in favor of the Wildcats. With their 1-0 victory over Lake Washington Tuesday, March 15, the Wildcats gave head coach Darren Brown his 100th win as the head soccer coach.

Brown, who’s been coaching the boys since 2004, now has 100 wins on his record for both the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams at Mount Si.

Scoring the winning goal Tuesday was Matt DiLoreto, with an assist from Ethan Duvall.

Goaltenders Griffin Popp and AJ Zanas earned the shutout.

Friday’s game starts at 7:30 p.m.
