First, I would like to express my deepest appreciation and affection

to all the wonderful people of the Snoqualmie Valley for reaching out

to my children at the loss of their father, John Klein.

The friends of my children have been especially supportive, not only

in words but in daily deeds. In working through their grief and shock of

John’s passing, a group of the younger teen-agers cleaned out the backyard,

filling six truckloads of debris. It was an inspiration to me to witness such

great acts of love.

Also, the setting up of a fund for the children was a wonderful way

to help these children (young adults) deal with the tremendous

responsibilities they will face in the months ahead.

I would like to say also, they are not alone, they still have their

mother and the Scheffer family. We are here, ready to help if they will let us.
