Railroad Days a hit on Maple Avenue

Letter to the Editor.

We want to thank all the wonderful, hard-working people who put

together “Rails to Ridge” Snoqualmie Days. We live in the heart of

Maple Avenue and have been residents of Snoqualmie for almost 40 years.

This was the best Snoqualmie Days in our memory. The booths on the main

street were great! The food boots were a better variety! The children’s

activities were well supported. The parade was the best. The music on two stages

was a great idea, with the radio station also being involved along Railroad

Avenue. Even though our street became the “main street” for two days,

we didn’t resent it a bit.

A big thanks to Lisa Schaffer, events president; Richard

Anderson, treasurer; Bruce Jeffers, entertainment; Patty Pecora, food and art;

Gina Brodie and Yvette Tinsley, Ridge to Rails race; and Susan Hankins

and Gayle Lorrence, Tour de Peaks. We had a much larger crowd than usual,

and it’s so nice to see so many Snoqualmie Ridge residents helping,

organizing, advising, etc. The more people, the better. It’s a pleasure to live so

near the activity.
