Thank you Yvette Barry and the Snoqualmie Valley Track Club

for staffing the North Bend 5K, held on Saturday, Aug. 12th.

Of the 329 registered, 180 registered the morning of the race, and

the SVTC volunteers handled this task with no problems! They also

manned the course with the precision of a drill team.

Since this group of volunteers is accustomed to organizing

track meets, they truly understand the logistics and procedures needed to

ensure success in an event such as this.

I am pleased to find such a fine group to pass the torch to in

organizing next year’s run! I have every confidence

they will do a great job! The track club will also have the

assistance of three avid runners who live in North Bend: Mike Brennan, Jerry

Marshall and Dave McGrath. Thanks guys for tracking me down to offer your

help with next year’s race!
