Si View pool and park in North Bend will be closed by King County on Jan. 1, 2003. What a wonderful opportunity this presents to our community to tend to its maintenance, upkeep and continuation. What better solution is there than to create a new board of committed and elected individuals, dedicated to its management and revenue-generating potential?

There is no better choice to assure the maintenance and improvement of this fine community facility, which has served many generations, than to create a new Metropolitan Park District and elect a five-member Park Commission.

A new Metropolitan Park District will be on the ballot on Feb. 4. With your vote of confidence a group of local individuals will work to keep this facility open, dedicated to serving all ages, dedicated to entering into contracts as appropriate with entities such as the Northwest Center, and dedicated to administering and running programs for all ages that will enrich our community.

Please vote “Yes” on Feb. 4 to create a new Metropolitan Park District for the sole purpose of administering and keeping open Si View pool and park.
