Letter | Thanks for making Fall City Day fun

Even though the weather did not cooperate the fun run had over 500 participants thanks to the Harrises and the Wilkinses.

Even though the weather did not cooperate the fun run had over 500 participants thanks to the Harrises and the Wilkinses.

Great marching bands and a ducky dragon made for a great parade. Thanks go out to Libby, Laurie Nicky and Jane. It was soggy but still fun.

Watermelon eating contest and Duck Derby carried on in the rain, thanks to Renee and Sean Christensen Laurie, Kevin, Jane and Amy. Cheri helped check in vendors and put up canopies in the pouring rain, most of the vendors stuck it out in the rain and sun and rain again.

Thank you to Melody and Cynthia for taking care of the merchandise booths and keeping cars out of the road;

To Twin Rivers Golf Course for use of the gator; the Gordons for their dumpster; Enrique at El Caporal opening early for my vendor facilities; Don at DOT for filling in our potholes; Bill and Dan, Vanessa and Lee and Terry and Kevin for pulling together the road, stage, and electrical support crew.

The Boy Scouts did a great job on road and clean up crew this year; we really appreciate their hard work. Thanks to Anji for the kiddie parade and after party.

Mount Si Lions Club was able to raise over $1000 for their charitable work at their first Car Show in Fall City, thank you Tom.

We enjoy our work but need to train some more volunteers to run a successful event in the future. Call (425) 222-6251 or email tjerdx@comcast.net if you are interested in helping. The tentative date for next year is June 10.

Judy Dix,

Fall City Day chairperson
