Letter | Rising property taxes are unfair burden on seniors

Do you really think that property and other taxes are fair to the senior citizens that are living on a fixed income, especially when property taxes alone are over $4,000 a year?

Do you really think that property and other taxes are fair to the senior citizens that are living on a fixed income, especially when property taxes alone are over $4,000 a year?

In 1959 we paid $8,000 to build our home. We have paid property taxes every single year for the last 56 years. People need to rethink all of these taxes.

When you own your home and new, more expensive houses are built, it is not fair to burden senior homeowners with such high taxes.

How many seniors are trying to make ends meet on a fixed income? I believe that the poverty level should be raised to $50,000 for property taxes to help senior citizens.
