Letter | A look back, and ahead, at Fall City Days fun

A big community thank you for making Fall City Day 2015 so successful! We didn't have as many families in attendance since school had already dismissed for summer break, but we were still able to donate over $10,500 back to Snoqualmie Valley youth organizations.

A big community thank you for making Fall City Day 2015 so successful! We didn’t have as many families in attendance since school had already dismissed for summer break, but we were still able to donate over $10,500 back to Snoqualmie Valley youth organizations.

Fall City Day 2016 will be Saturday, June 11. School will still be in session, so we are looking forward to a great turnout. We are also excited to bring our first car show to the fair, “Rolling at the River” sponsored by the Mount Si Lions Club. Many classic cars and their proud owners will be in attendance, so please stop by the elementary school to check them out.

Volunteers are always welcome and needed, so if you are interested in helping with any of the following committees please email Judy at tjerdx@comcast.net:

Duck Derby – help collect donations and/or sell tickets at event; Communications – send monthly updates to newspapers, no need to come to meetings, we’ll email you the info; Merchandise booth – sell Fall City Day shirts and hats; and Tree Lighting – ceremony is the first Saturday in December, prep work includes stringing lights on the cherry trees along the river and braiding garland on bridge railings.

If anyone needs any information on participating in the Fun Run, becoming a vendor or participating in the parade, visit our website: www.fallcity.org.
