Bite of the Valley a success

Letter to the Editor

I wish to thank all of the participants who took part in the eighth annual “Bite of the Valley” to make the event another huge success. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the vendors who graciously donated time and food or beverages for the event: Adair’s on the Green, Bad Ass Coffee Co., Denny’s Restaurant, Frankie’s Pizza, George’s Bakery, Gordy’s BBQ, Hangchow Restaurant, Ken’s Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, Ken’s Restaurant, Milk Barn, North Bend Bar and Grill, The Reef, Safeway, Sahara’s Pizza, Salish Lodge and Spa, Scott’s Dairy Freeze, Sisters Restaurant, Snoqualmie Falls Candy and Cafe, Talking Rain, Tesoro’s Quick Stop and Twede’s Cafe. Beer and wine were provided by Snoqualmie Falls Brewing, Columbia Distributors and Bryan’s One-Stop.

I would also like to thank my committee who consisted of Lisa Schaffer, Sue Beauvais, Candice Dills and Karen Youngblood. Many other Chamber of Commerce members helped to set the Mount Si Senior Center up for the occasion, sold tickets during the event, served refreshments and helped Bill Jobe clean up after the event. A special “thanks” to the senior center for allowing the Chamber use of its facilities.

The success of this event is largely due to the people who helped to organize it eight years ago: Linda Bonner, Susan Hankins, Marie Everett and Ellen Krush.

Your Chamber is very active in the Snoqualmie Valley. The Bite of the Valley is one example of the Chamber promoting local businesses in the Valley.

Again, thanks to all who made the Bite of the Valley a huge success, especially our local restaurants and distributors.
