Let me just start by saying that I love living in the Snoqualmie Valley. I drive by Mount Si on the North Fork Road every day and marvel at its beauty. I hear the Snoqualmie River every night before I go to sleep and breathe the fresh, clean air every morning and night when I walk my dog, Sara. I love going to the grocery store and running into at least a half-dozen people I know, and I love shopping locally, knowing that the dollars I spend here are helping to keep the local economy alive. But most of all, I love the people here in my adopted hometown of 17 years.

My mother recently passed away after battling breast cancer for over a year, and the outpouring of love and concern from friends, acquaintances, neighbors and customers has been most welcome.

From the brief, “I’m so sorry” and a hug, to my good friends, Marie, Judy and Karen, planning and coordinating a gathering for 100 people, the sharing of grief has been made more bearable for myself, my brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Dixie, and our sister, Linda.

So thank you all very much for your understanding and love, and know that the things you’ve done for us are greatly appreciated. We love you all.
