Steve A. Mitchell of North Bend passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle. He was 36.Steve was born December 21, 1972 in Seattle, Washington to Rick and Cheryl Mitchell. He was raised in North Bend where he graduated from Mount Si High School in 1992. Following high school Steve furthered his education at Eastern Washington University.After college Steve turned his sights toward a career. He first went to work as a retail clerk at the North Bend Thriftway and later at Houghton Market in Kirkland. In 2004 he went to work for Wallace Masonry, where he worked as a hodge carrier and trained to be a Mason. Steve was well respected by his peers and the Wallace family.On November 2, 2002 Steve married Erin Rae Gotts in Redmond. They settled in Wilderness Rim where the started a family. One year later Steve and Erin became the proud parents of Madelyn. In his leisure time Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, collecting anything John Deere and spending time with his family, especially his adoring wife and beautiful daughter. His family remembers him as a loving and outstanding husband, father, son, brother and friend who loved life with his whole being. Organized, loyal, dedicated, selfless and loving are some of his attributes that cannot begin to describe the height, depth or breadth of Steve. He is deeply missed.Survivors include his loving wife, Erin; daughter, Madelyn, parents, Rick and Cheryl; brothers, Scott and Rob, and a host of extended family members and friends.In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances to the Madelyn Mitchell College Fund. Donations may be made at any Chase Bank.A time of visitation was held on September 11, 2009 at Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory, 540 E. Sunset Way, Issaquah. A celebration of his life was held on September 12, 2009 at Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church, 36017 SE Fish Hatchery Rd.
