Snoqualmie Casino and radio station 94.1 KMPS-FM announced the big success of their holiday food drive, held Nov. 25 to Dec. 1 at the casino to benefit the Snoqualmie Tribal Food Bank. More than 4,000 pounds of non-perishable food items were collected, including personal donations from casino employees and an additional 200 turkeys and hams from the casino.
The food drive was held in conjunction with the station’s Ho Ho Ho-down Holiday Concert, which featured country music rising star Eric Church and special guests the Lo Cash Cowboys. Attendees to the near-capacity concert donated non-perishable food items in exchange for entry to the event.
“Nothing in the world is better than music for bringing people together. I feel very blessed to be able to make music for a living,” said Church during the Tuesday evening concert. “Tonight we will use the music to bring people together and to bless families not as fortunate as ourselves. That’s very cool!”
The Snoqualmie Tribal Food Bank is a full service food bank bringing much needed food to the kitchen tables of many of the greater Valley’s most needy families.
