Thursday, Feb. 2, 1989

• Despite reservations, the King County Council voted unanimously Monday to impose interim zoning in the Valley. County Executive Tim Hill signed the emergency measure, suggesting the change after a rush of subdivision applications at the end of 1988 proved landowners were reacting to a talk of a building moratorium.

• Members of the Snoqualmie Valley School District’s instructional materials selection committee are considering new curriculum, among them state-mandated AIDS safety materials.
