A Snoqualmie teen who police say beat up a Mount Si High School freshman at the school locker room last fall goes to trial this month.

The alleged assailant, a 16-year-old boy, goes to trial June 29 in King County Juvenile Court for second degree assault.

A Snoqualmie police report states that witnesses saw the older boy hit the victim several times with his fist in his face. Accounts differ, but witnesses claimed that the older boy may have kneed or kicked the other boy when he was down.

Medical records mentioned in the report indicated that he suffered a concussion and fractures to his skull and teeth.

Media reports stated that the younger boy had been confronting another freshman in the locker room, responded to alleged taunts of a friend.

An incident report by a Snoqualmie Police Officer makes no mention of the alleged taunting. In it, the victim told police that he did not know the alleged assailant, and was “cold-cocked.”

The boys are not being named by the Valley Record because of their age.

The Snoqualmie Valley School District released an investigation report on the incident to the Valley Record on Friday, June 4.
