Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce organized a pre-Super Bowl tailgate party Friday, Jan. 30, at the Snoqualmie Valley YMCA. Hundreds of kids and families gathered for music, games, hot dogs and Seahawks spirit.

Rhonda Treglown, with son Gavin, is Hawktastic in Seahawks hair, tutu and shoes. She won the women’s competition for best costume.

Mason Ostheimer, left, declared the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 12th Man Tailgate Party the “best party ever.” He and his boa’ed friend, Colby Heyting, right entered the competitive costume contest, of course. Heyting’s comment: “Skittles everywhere!”

A beaming Katie, winner of the costume contest, shows off her costume for an admiring crowd.

Andrew Siple, 7, protects his hot dog from his family dog, Friday at the 12th Man Tailgate Party in Snoqualmie.

Ten-year-old Micah Smith, one of dozens of children in Russell Wilson jerseys, perfects his throw.

One budding athlete decided to dunk the football, rather than throwing it.

Riley Davis, Matilda Waller, Amber Edwards, Natalie Edwards, Sierra Davis and Zachary Brethauer came out to celebrate Seahawks style.

Sporting a logo cut-in and just-dyed green hair, Isaac Ramos, 6, of Renton, snacks on a hot dog.

Aubrey Bellis and Alexandra Solinsky, both age 6 and from Snoqualmie dance in the party atmosphere.

Carter Solinsky, 2, gets a view of the 12th Man Tailgate Party from the arms of his grandparents, Buzz and Leanne Riegel, all of Snoqualmie.

Lines for food, face painting and entering the costume contest were long, but festive.
