A man who allegedly murdered a 6-month-old boy in North Bend was arrested in Tacoma Thursday (March 9), according to police.
Tacoma Police made the arrest after receiving a bulletin from the Snoqualmie Police Department indicating the suspect was staying in the city, The News Tribune reported.
The suspect was booked into the King County Correctional Facility on Friday afternoon.
The arrest closes a cold-case from 2019, according to a statement from Snoqualmie Police. Investigators reopened the case in August 2022, police said.
Snoqualmie Police discovered the 6-month-old boy in March 2019, when responding to an urgent care facility in North Bend, according to a statement. The boy was found unresponsive and transferred to Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he died a few days later, police said.
Upon examination, police said, the death was ruled a homicide by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, with the boy sustaining injuries to the head and neck.
