Last week’s ballot counts showed the Snoqualmie Valley School District’s bond to build a new middle school still failing by .06 percent of the vote.

As of Friday, Feb. 18, votes in favor of the $56.2 million bond were at 5,953, or 59.94 percent of the vote, and votes against were at 3,979, or 40.06 percent of the vote. The bond requires approval by a 60 percent supermajority to pass. In the past week, only 114 “yes” votes and 44 “no” votes were added to the totals.

Meanwhile, voters have solidly approved the $5 million fire station bond for North Bend and Fire District 38, with 73.24 percent and 61.97 percent approval, respectively.

Election results will be certified at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
