Valley residents have several ways to get rid of yard waste and recyclables this summer.
First up, the city of Snoqualmie will offer yard waste drop-off, 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 27 at the King Street parking lot in downtown Snoqualmie. Residents are asked to bring a water utility bill for verification of Snoqualmie residency.

In general, accepted yard waste includes leaves, weeds, and small branches or limbs, roughly three inches thick by three feet long. Yard waste that is not accepted includes sod, dirt, manure, plastic bags, trash, debris, wood, large branches, stumps, rocks, concrete, or asphalt.
Waste should be brought in a reusable container, paper bag, or cardboard box that can be recycled.
Recycle
North Bend holds a recycling event, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28 at Snoqualmie Middle School, 9200 Railroad Ave. S.E. in Snoqualmie. This program allows King County residents to recycle household items.
Items such as latex and oil-based paints, pesticides, and household chemicals will not be accepted.

Because many people take part in this event, which can cause traffic congestion, there is a specific order in which vehicles should be loaded so they can quickly be unloaded. View the flyer posted online for instructions.
King County’s Hazardous Waste Management Program brings its Wastemobile disposal center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., July 17 to 19, at Snoqualmie Elementary School, 39801 S.E. Park St.
