Snoqualmie hosts meeting about potential marijuana retail

The city of Snoqualmie Planning Commission will take public input on scheduled land use regulations concerning the production, processing, and retail sale of marijuana in Snoqualmie.

The city of Snoqualmie Planning Commission will take public input on scheduled land use regulations concerning the production, processing, and retail sale of marijuana in Snoqualmie.

The public hearing will be at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 7, at Snoqualmie City Hall, 38624 S.E. River Street.

The city has a current moratorium on all marijuana businesses, implemented in 2014 to allow the city time to develop regulations compliant with state law. The moratorium expires every six months, unless the city council renews it.

Public comments will be compiled and presented to the Snoqualmie City Council for consideration, before it takes action to end the city’s current moratorium on the production, processing, and retail sale of marijuana.
