Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley announces community grant award recipients

Rotary gave away a total of $33,000 to 21 community organizations and nonprofits

The Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley is donating $33,000 in grants to 21 community organizations and nonprofits, the group announced last week. Each recipient will receive between $250 to $3,000.

Rotary raises funds for its grants program each year through events, including SipFest, the Mount Si Classic Charity Golf Tournament and the Beer Garden at the Festival at Mt. Si.

“Every dollar that supporters and partners of the Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley provide goes back to the community,” Club President Sandra Ramsey said in a statement. “For over 25 years the Rotary club has been able to provide cash grants to many of the outstanding service organizations in and around the Valley.”

This year’s grant winners are:

  • Alpine Preschool: preschool play yard and general improvement projects.
  • Athletes for Kids: maintain and Support the growth of Mount Si High School chapter.
  • Carnation Elementary PTSA: playground improvement.
  • CarePoint Clinic: clinic medical expense project.
  • Empower Youth Network: Timely Response for Acute Community Experience (TRACE) program.
  • Encompass NW: pediatric hearing screens.
  • Hopelink: financial resilience in the Snoqualmie Valley.
  • Life Enrichment Options: raised garden beds.
  • Mamma’s Hands: the house of hope family emergency shelter: Home Sweet Home Program.
  • Mount Si Band: instruments
  • Mount Si Future Farmers of America: lamb Supervised Agriculture Experience Project for 2023 Northwest Junior Livestock Show.
  • Mt Si Senior Center: atrium renovations.
  • North Bend Community Theater: Theatre camp scholarship fund.
  • Preston Foodbank: semi-permanent protective structure.
  • Snoqualmie Valley Evergreens 4-H: 4-H Lamb Project for 2023 Northwest Junior Livestock Show.
  • Snoqualmie Valley Historical Society & Museum: exterior interpretative panels.
  • Snoqualmie Valley Ministerial Association, DBA Feed Kiddos: leader of program.
  • Snoqualmie Valley School District: reducing barriers.
  • St. Clare Episcopal Church: essential laundry initiative.
  • Trail Youth Coffee Home: equipment for barista job training.
  • Valley Animal Partners: expand emergency fund.
