Rooftop break-in, stolen tombstone, geese harassment; Weekly Snoqualmie Valley police, fire reports

Rooftop break-in: On May 30, a North Bend business contacted police about a break-in that had occurred overnight. The suspect or suspects apparently climbed onto the roof of the two-story facility, then forced open a rear door on the second floor. Police found many items had been moved to the rear door, but could not determine if anything had been taken.

Wednesday, May 30

Rooftop break-in: At 9:30 a.m. a business contacted police about a break-in that had occurred overnight. The suspect or suspects apparently climbed onto the roof of the two-story facility, then forced open a rear door on the second floor. Police found many items had been moved to the rear door, but could not determine if anything had been taken.

Tombstone taken: At 10 a.m., a deputy was called to the Mount Si Memorial Cemetery on North Bend Way, for a theft report. Someone had stolen the marker from a grave.

Loud speaker: At 9:30 p.m., a driver and passenger on a side street in the 400 block of East North Bend Way reported hearing what sounded like a voice over a loudspeaker, coming from the car behind them. A male voice said “Pull over!” The deputy did not locate the suspicious vehicle.

Sunday, May 31

Baby geese: At 9:03 p.m., a caller in the area of Southeast Park Street and Euclid Avenue Southeast reported seeing people in the back yard of a home that was unoccupied. An officer responded and contacted the subjects, who said they’d been chasing baby geese. The officer advised them to stay out of people’s yards.

Saturday, May 26

Open or closed: At 10:41 a.m., a school district employee contacted police about removing two people from the school’s baseball field in the 34800 block of Southeast Ridge Street. The employee said a sign had been posted, but the two players just yelled at her when she drove by.

Crime tip: At 12:20 p.m., a caller in the area of Norman Avenue Southeast and Swenson Avenue Southeast told police he’d seen a vehicle matching the description of one that police have connected with two burglaries on May 2.

Tuesday, May 29

Burn: At 5 p.m., firefighters responded to a burn complaint. The burn was found to be unattended and was extinguished.

Chest pain: 5:48 p.m., firefighters responded to a 52-year-old woman who was experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath. She was also seen by a paramedic unit from Bellevue Fire. The patient was treated and transported to Swedish of Issaquah via private ambulance.

Fall off a horse: At 6:29 p.m., firefighters responded to a 59-year-old woman who fell off a horse. She was treated and transported to Swedish Hospital of Issaquah via private ambulance.

Monday, May 28

Fall: At 11:37 a.m., firefighters responded to a 34-year-old man who fell. He was treated and transported to Swedish of Issaquah via private ambulance.

Water rescue: At 4:03 p.m., firefighters responded to a     swift water rescue. The report was that two people had flipped over in a kayak, on arrival it was discovered that both kayakers had extricated themselves from the river.

Fire: At 6:27 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of an unconfirmed structure fire. On arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from a chimney.
