Redmond City Hall to host meeting on King County budget Thursday

The Metropolitan King County Council's Budget and Fiscal Management Committee will host a public meeting on the County Executive's proposed 2017-2018 county budget at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, in Council Chambers, Redmond City Hall, 15670 N.E. 85th St., Redmond.

The Metropolitan King County Council’s Budget and Fiscal Management Committee will host a public meeting on the County Executive’s proposed 2017-2018 county budget at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, in Council Chambers, Redmond City Hall, 15670 N.E. 85th St., Redmond.

All members of the King County Council serve on the budget committee during the review of the proposed budget. The Redmond meeting is the second of three special meetings in which the public will be able to speak to members about their concerns with the proposed biennial (2017-2018) budget.

The first special meeting, held in Seattle, had more than 20 citizens discussing issues that included mentoring services, housing displacement funding, feeding programs and human service funding.
