Mount Si music performances top Anaheim Festival

Over the Snoqualmie Valley School District's spring break, 80 Mount Si High School music students traveled with their teachers and chaperones to Anaheim, Calif. to perform in the Heritage Music Festival April 4 to 10.

Over the Snoqualmie Valley School District’s spring break, 80 Mount Si High School music students traveled with their teachers and chaperones to Anaheim, Calif. to perform in the Heritage Music Festival April 4 to 10.

The Mount Si Camerata choir received the WorldStrides OnStage Anaheim 2016 Silver Award for having achieved excellent ratings.

The Mount Si Wind Ensemble received three awards: Adjudication Award in recognition of excellence in a high scoring performance; Outstanding Band award, given to the most outstanding band at the festival, regardless of classification or category; and Gold Award for having achieved superior ratings and ranking as the top band in its classification.

“Traveling with this incredible group of musicians was so rewarding.” said Mount Si Choir Director Haley Isaacs. “We had the opportunity to perform in a beautiful church venue among other outstanding choirs and received valuable feedback from the music professors who were our clinicians.”
