The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 15-year-old girl reported missing from Snoqualmie was found dead in Shoreline.

The Snoqualmie Police Department was initially investigating the disappearance of Azjanae Brooks, 15, after her mother reported her missing June 2. The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) has taken over the case.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Brooks’s death took place May 31, and that the cause was gunshot wounds to the head and neck. The report does not say where the homicide occurred.

No arrests have been made at this time. KCSO requests that anyone with information about Brooks’s killing call 206-343-2020.
